Chopin's C-Sharp Minor Waltz was dedicated by Chopin to his pupil Baroness Charlotte de Rothschild in 1847. Highlighting the intimate salon-style elegance for which the work was intended, this single release captures the essence of 'The Chopin Connection', providing a rare insight into the piano works of Chopin by connecting much-loved repertoire with little-known compositions from two of Chopin’s pupils from the Rothschild family: Mathilde (1832-1924) and Charlotte (1825-1899).
